Fall 2008 Colour Stories

Acceleration - Think of it as giving the chauffeur the day off. Who knew that taking the pilot’s seat could be so empowering? And the momentum be so addictive? Makes one wonder if Thelma and Louise were actually onto something…there’s just something about stomping down on the accelerator with a vampy stiletto that says “I own my world”.  Of course the scenery is bold and graphic  - black, white, red, magenta and eggplant – and looks even better as you build your speed. Can you get there? Absolutely….and if anyone asks, it was the butler who ran the thing out of gas…

Cruising Speed – You were always the one who could navigate on ice in precariously high heels. Now it’s no different. You’re still keeping your balance, you’re still getting the job done and you’re still a sassy shoe fanatic. And because you’re that girl on the go, you’ll keep up the pace. Grey, charcoal, purple passion, leaf and olive green make the daily grind something more of a jaunt through the park….or a flight on a 747…

Altitude – You could get all freaked out, wondering why on earth you didn’t take the train….but it wouldn’t be near as thrilling. Just look at you – the sorceress of success. And what did you learn on your way up to the top? You gotta want it bad enough. And if you need something to show for it just look down around you -  everything is fresh and alive – royal, ice blue, jade, navy and white. Oh sure, the train would have been …nice, but so would dinner with your inlaws.

First Class – Oh sure, not all of us can board the private jet with mountains of monogrammed luggage, collecting vintage chateau’s, small dogs and the odd paparazzi along the way. But you could fly first class. After all, it almost seems barbaric to do anything less. Why bother with uncomfortable seating and impossible entrées when in first class there’s brandy, chocolate, camel, ivory, leaf and poppy at your disposal? Besides, when only the best will do, a girls’ gotta have standards, and they had better be designer….
